Deo Ngonyani is an associate professor of Linguistics and African languages. His research interests include language documentation, word structure, Bantu languages and Swahili studies in general. He has taught at the University of Dar es Salaam – Tanzania, Pwani University – Kenya, UCLA and Indiana University.
