It is not until you peer around the corners that you find many opportunities exist that allow you to use your skills and talents beyond what you previously imagined.
C.H. Robinson is a global network that assists businesses with moving freight around the world via truck, rail, ocean vessel, air, in addition to the services that accompany those modes of transportation. As an Account Manager, I develop account relationships within customer organizations and work closely with our contacts to find the best solutions for moving their products across the country through our services and internal technology systems. I help identify opportunities to increase efficiencies within customer supply chains and to implement strategic solutions. It is not until you peer around the corners that you find many opportunities exist that allow you to use your skills and talents beyond what you previously imagined.
My degree from Michigan State University prepared me to view the world critically. I am able to approach a new industry that operates on a global scale with the skills necessary to handle anything that comes my way. Michigan State University also emphasized that our world truly is global. All of this prepared me to see the world as a place where small intentional actions can have a global effect.
A year ago, I didn’t even know my job existed and now I am living in a city that I love, pursuing a career in a global industry with limitless potential. I encourage all Spartans to think outside the box and ask questions about some of the things that are limited by your current world view. We all have ideas about what we want to do and become once we leave MSU, but it is not until you peer around the corners that you find many opportunities exist that allow you to use your skills and talents beyond what you previously imagined. I truly have the utmost appreciate for the education I received at Michigan State University and cannot wait to see where it takes me next.
