Blakemore Freeman Fellowships for Advanced Asian Language Study
Awarded for one year of advanced level language study in East or Southeast Asia in approved language programs.

 The Critical Language Scholarship (CLS) Japanese (intermediate and advanced levels)
The CLS Program is part of a U.S. government effort to expand dramatically the number of Americans studying and mastering critical foreign languages. Students of diverse disciplines and majors are encouraged to apply. Participants are expected to continue their language study beyond the scholarship period, and later apply their critical language skills in their future professional careers.

Boren Scholarships
Boren Scholars represent a vital pool of highly motivated individuals who wish to work in the federal national security arena. In exchange for funding, Boren Scholars commit to working in the federal government for at least one year after graduation.
