New colleagues will be recognized during the 2025 Faculty and Staff Welcome Reception on Sept. 29 at the Kellogg Hotel and Conference Center.

MSU Student Receives Boren Scholarship to Study in Kazakhstan 

Michigan State University undergraduate student Eleanor Pugh has earned a Boren Scholarship to study abroad in Kazakhstan. The Boren Awards program funds the intensive study of language and culture abroad for U.S. undergraduate and graduate students. Scholars have the option to either apply for a Regional Flagship Language Initiative or select/design their own study program.

Thomas Stubblefield Recommended as Dean of MSU’s College of Arts & Letters

Thomas Stubblefield has been recommended to serve as the next Dean of the College of Arts & Letters at Michigan State University, effective July 1, 2025. Pending approval by the MSU Board of Trustees, he will succeed Yen-Hwei Lin, who assumed the role of Interim Dean in June 2024 following the departure of former Dean Christopher P. Long.
