Project by Critical Race Studies Artist-in-Residence Unveiled in Beal Botanical Garden

A Solitary Greenhouse, the work of Critical Race Studies artist-in-residence jackie sumell, is now on display in Michigan State University's Beal Botanical Garden. The plants that surround A Solitary Greenhouse were chosen in collaboration with the students of Professor Johanna Schuster-Craig's Spring 2020 Global Studies in the Arts and Humanities course.

Professor Shares Experience Teaching in Israel While Street Violence Takes Place

Associate Professor Camelia Suleiman spent a semester in Nazareth, Israel, while co-teaching a course at Hebrew University of Jerusalem through Zoom. She's written a reflection on her students and the street violence that has taken place in Israel and the Gaza Strip this past month.
